Honest Review: Memorys A5 Daily Planner – Blooming Garden -My Real Experience After Using It

I came across the Memorys’ Daily Planner while searching for journals, notebooks and planners in the city of Lucknow’s famous retailers, and one of the oldest book stores: Universal Booksellers at Hazratganj.

Once it caught my hand, I immediately found its layout to be structured, affordable and aesthetic enough.

I wasn’t looking for anything too fancy, just something practical that could help me organize the clutter in my brain.

Why I Bought This Planner?

The very honest reason is that I was not using my bullet journal thoroughly- and I will talk about that another time.

Also, for the longest time I had wanted to compare the usage of a journal notebook (bullet journal system) or an undated planner.

Inside of the Memorys’ Daily Planner (Undated)

This planner looked simple, organized, and practical. I was hoping it would help me stay consistent with daily planning instead of skipping days because I was unable to make my bujo spreads.

Yet, honestly, the procrastinator mind runs on a whole different level. I’m sure many of you reading this article would relate to me! It’s an effort to stay consistent- whether you use the bullet journal system or a planner.

It’s the question of what suits the tasks that you’re trying to get done.

The point with Memorys’ undated daily planner is that I genuinely found it to be affordable as a student. If you search online, the prices of multiple organized and aesthetic planners range from INR 699 to INR 1899.

You may find many daily planners on Amazon for much lower prices, but the quality and layout that Memorys gives in their daily planner was the point of purchase for me.

First Impression

The first thing I noticed was the neat layout. The sections are clearly divided:

  • Today’s goal
  • Top priorities
  • To-do list
  • Schedule
  • Break time
  • Daily review

It feels structured but not overwhelming.

However, the paper quality is medium. It’s not very thick. Some pens might show slight marks on the other side.

My suggestion is that you use the very basic gel pens (0.5mm) or the ball point pens (eg. ADD GEL’s ball point, INR 15) (or even PARKER’s classic roller ball works).

Price-wise, it is quite affordable (around ₹350). I find it to be reasonable.

What Makes This Planner Different?

The biggest strength of this planner is structure.

It doesn’t leave you confused. It tells you what to focus on:

  • Set a main goal
  • Decide top priorities
  • Plan your time
  • Reflect at night

This is helpful especially for beginners. Even if you don’t know how to plan, the format guides you.

The Sticker Set (A Fun Surprise)

One of the nicest additions to this planner is the sticker set that comes with it.

The stickers include weekday labels, motivational phrases, cute icons, reminder tags, and small decorative elements.

These are not just decorative they actually make planning feel enjoyable.

Stickers at the end of this planner; adds pop to your pages!

Using the stickers made my pages look more lively and personal. If you enjoy decorating or personalizing your planner, this is definitely a plus point.

My Experience Using It for a Full Day

After filling out one complete day, I realized that this planner encourages honesty. The daily review section makes you pause and think about how your day actually went.

I could clearly see where I procrastinated and where I was productive. Writing down my reflections made me more aware of my habits.

It also helped me break my day into realistic sections. Instead of just writing a long to-do list, I had to choose top priorities. That small difference made a big impact on my focus.

This is how a filled up planner page looks like

However, I did feel that only one page for ‘Notes and Ideas’ was not enough for me.

I could not complete my entire flow of thought in that one page; hence, had to ultimately turn to my bullet journal (in which I haven’t made spreads for several weeks now!).

Such habits lead to stacking of notebooks. I founded myself juggling between the two- my planner, and my bujo notebook.

Further, the paper quality is only above average. It is not very thick, so if you use heavy ink pens, there might be slight shadowing. It’s not a major problem, but it’s something to note.

What I Liked

The biggest strength of this planner is its simplicity. It gives structure without being too complicated.

The layout is clear, the sections are useful, and the reflection space adds depth. For the price, it feels good value.

I also appreciate how it guides the user with little texts in the colored boxes as to what he/she is supposed to write in that section.

Notice how the small, collored ellipses tell you what to put in that section.

I also appreciate that it does not try to overload the user with too many pages or unnecessary features. Everything inside has a purpose.

What Could Be Better

While I like the planner overall, there are small improvements that could make it even better. The paper quality could be slightly thicker.

Adding a bookmark ribbon would make it feel more premium. Also, a separate habit tracker section for long-term tracking would be helpful.

These are small improvements, not deal-breakers.

Who Should Buy This Planner?

This planner is ideal for students, beginners in productivity, and anyone who struggles with blank notebooks.

If you often feel confused about how to start planning your day, this format will guide you. It removes decision fatigue because the structure is already designed.

However, if you prefer complete creative freedom like in a fully blank bullet journal, you might feel slightly limited.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Memorys planner feels like a simple accountability tool. It reminds you to set a goal, choose priorities, plan your time, and reflect honestly. It is not a luxury planner, but it is practical and affordable.

If you are looking for a guided daily planner that helps you build consistency, this is worth trying.
